The National Council for Small and Medium-sized Private Enterprises (CNIPMMR) launched the "Test IMM" app that lets entrepreneurs share their opinion about legislative initiatives and show the authorities how they impact on their business, said Council president Florin Jianu.
The "Test IMM" application is available for both Android and IOS operating systems as well as for desktop.
"This is the first global application to perform an impact analysis on SMEs. There is no other such application in Europe or even in the world," Jianu said.
According to him, so far, the surveys conducted by CNIPMMR and the Ministry of Business Environment among the companies regarding the impact of legislative initiatives implied a very long sequence of e-mails, but the app now significantly streamlines the procedure.
"We build a questionnaire that we post online, send it via various channels to our members, our partners, employers' confederations. The same happens at the ministry: there is a group of organizations, a whole list of e-mails and each organization receives this SME test to further send it to its members. We, as an umbrella organisation, send it to the regional federations, they send it to employers, and the latter send it to SMEs. You can imagine that this whole pathway until the e-mail reaches the entrepreneur entails an entire chain of weaknesses," the CNIPMMR official explained.
In the next period, the Council will kick off a campaign to inform all entrepreneurs that they can express their opinion through this application, and the authorities will be able to access to the information they posted in the app.
"Basically, the entrepreneur is one click away from the one who initiates a public policy. He can directly tell him his opinion on the respective public policy," Jianu added.
The campaign is part of the project "Increasing the capacity of CNIPMMR to formulate and support alternative public policies regarding the activity of the SME sector" carried out under the Operational Capacity Administrative Program, which has been gradually implemented since March 2018 and will wrap up in July 2019; the project has a budget of 926,630 lei.
