The largest green exhibition in Romania - Green Energy Expo & Romenvirotec - will take place between April 9 and 11 at the Romexpo exhibition complex, with representatives of the central public authorities to attend the official opening, according to a press release of the organizers sent to AGERPRES on Wednesday.

The event addresses sustainable living, from renewable energy production and energy efficiency to intelligent waste collection, sorting and recycling, from water and wastewater management to the smart transformation of urban life and digitalized public services.

The official opening will be on April 9, among the government representatives to give an inaugural speeches being: Stefan-Radu Oprea, head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, with the rank of minister, Mircea Fechet, minister of environment, waters and forests, Laszlo Borbely, state counselor, Department for Sustainable Development, note the organizers.

A representative of the Ministry of Energy, a secretary of state, as well as Mihai Daraban, the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR) will also be present.

The event is organized in partnership with the Prime Minister's Chancellery, the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests, the Ministry of Energy and the Department for Sustainable Development.

The exhibition, which will cover 15,000 sq m, will bring thousands of innovative solutions from over 500 brands, to be presented by companies from 15 countries, directly or in national pavilions (China, Switzerland, Poland).
