Vaslui City Hall will build a boarding facility for the Sports High School, with the local administration signing the documentation on Thursday to hand over the site to the contractor.
The project to build the boarding facility is valued at 7.83 million, with funding provided through the 2021-2027 North-East Regional Program, and the facility is scheduled for completion in October 2028.
"The new facility will be strategically located next to the sports grounds and the Olympic pool. The construction of the boarding facility will complete this sports complex, ensuring our young people have everything they need to achieve excellence right here at home," stated Lucian Braniste, Mayor of Vaslui, in a post on the municipality's Facebook page.
The City Hall also has a number of ongoing investments in the education sector, including the construction of an early childhood education complex comprising a kindergarten and a nursery valued at 4.7 million lei; the construction of a physical education hall at "Vasile Alecsandri" Middle School, valued at 1.22 million euros; and the renovation of the sports hall at the Vaslui Sports High School, valued at 1.88 million euros.
