A Mozart & Haydn charity concert, to be played by world class musicians, with a Stradivarius violin, will be organized, on March 24, in Cluj-Napoca, to gather funds in view of reconstructing the Philharmonic in Chisinau, the Republic of Moldova, destroyed in a fire.

"World class artists in a Mozart & Haydn charitable concert in Cluj-Napoca, on March 24 in the Auditorium Maximum hall of the UBB [Babes-Bolyai University]. After two years of restrictions and cultural events organized with limits, the people of Cluj will benefit from a large scale charity event on March 24, in the Auditorium Maximum of the Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj Napoca. Musicians of the Operas of Vienna will play together with the orchestra for the Chisinau Philharmonic destroyed in a fire two years ago," shows the release sent, on Monday, by the organizers.

According to the quoted source, as part of the event, the public will benefit from an unforgettable night in the company of prestigious musicians. "Kirill Maximov, of Spain, will play on the Baron Oppenheim Stradivarius violin, made in 1716. The first violinist of the Tonkunstler Orchestra of Vienna, Nikita Gerkusov, will play on a 17th century viola made by Italian luthier Giovanni Paolo Maggini. These virtuous artists will be joined by Ion Storojenco, collaborator of the Vienna Philharmonic, which has played with orchestras in Romania, Moldova, Austria, Germany and Egypt," the organizers mention.

According to the quoted source, the charitable concert will take place on March 24, at the Auditorium Maximum, starting 19:00 hrs, and tickets may be bought through a donation on the platform www.tiroll.ro/uniti-prin-muzica-cluj-napoca

"The charitable event 'Uniti prin muzica' [United through Music] of the Hoia Rotary Club offers to the Cluj community the opportunity to contribute, through the raising of necessary funds, to the reconstruction and outfitting of the Chisinau Philharmonic, as the cultural institution of our brothers across the Pruth [River] was destroyed following the fire of September 2020. (...) Musicians will perform exceptional musical arias, from the repertoire of Mozart and Haydn, who, through your support, will revitalize the tried cultural life across the Pruth," the release also shows.
