The three-month Romanian Interbank Offer Rate (ROBOR), against which the cost of personal loans stated in lei with a floating interest rate is calculated, declined on Monday on the interbank market by 0.04 percentage points to 3.20pct per annum, according to data published by the National Bank of Romania (BNR).
According to BNR data, the 3-month ROBOR in the beginning of this year was standing at 2.05pct.
The six-month ROBOR rate used to calculate interest rates on variable-rate lei-denominated mortgage loans dropped to 3.42pct per annum, from 3.46 pct on Friday.
Nine-month ROBOR, representing the interest rate paid on RON-denominated loans taken out by commercial banks from other commercial banks, fell to 3.51pct per annum from 3.53pct, while the 12-month ROBOR dropped to 3.58pct per annum from 3.59pct.
