Bucharest Stock Exchange closes Tuesday' session in the red

The Bucharest Stock Exchange closed Tuesday down on most indices, with a turnover of 129.32 million lei (25.39 million euros).

The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, depreciated by 0.05%, to the value of 21,524.96 points, and BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the Stock Exchange, also closed down by 0.05%.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, recorded an increase of 0.07%, while the SIF index, BET-FI, appreciated by 1.22%.

Also, the BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, closed up 0.03%, and the BET-NG, which measures the performance of ten energy and utility companies, fell 0.02%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, recorded an advance of 3.45%.

The most liquid securities were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions totaling 84.64 million lei, followed by Hidroelectrica shares, with 5.41 million lei, and those of OMV Petrom, with 4.74 million lei.

The best developments were recorded by the shares of Green Tech International (+7.39%), Altur (+5.15%) and Societatea Energetica Electrica (+4.84%).

On the other hand, the most significant decreases were recorded by the shares of Mecanica Ceahlau (-10.75%), Bittnet Systems Bucharest (-8.03%) and Armatura (-7.11%).
