The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Wednesday's trading session in the red and 64.25 million RON (12.92 million euros) worth of transactions.
The main BET index, which tracks the most liquid 20 companies, lost 0.82 percent to 17,329.67 points, and the BET-Plus index which shows the evolution of the top liquid 43 shares registered a 0.84 percent decline.
The extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers closed 0.70 percent lower, while the BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies went down 0.30 percent .
The return benchmark index for stock investment funds BET-BK closed the trading session 0.72 percent down, while the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG decreased 0.59 percent.
The BET AeRO index of the 20 representative companies on the AeRO market inched up 0.03 percent.
The most traded stocks on the Regulated Market were those of Banca Transilvania with 12.03 million RON, followed by Romgaz with 6.06 million RON, and Hidroelectrica with 4.92 million RON worth of trading.
According to BVB, the best performing issuers were Societatea de Constructii Napoca (+14.39 percent), Bursa de Valori Bucuresti (+2.15 percent), and Sinteza (+1.54 percent).
Conversely, the issuers on a downward trend were Simtel Team (-6.54 percent), Zentiva (-6.36 percent), and Farmaceutica Remedia (-5.75 percent)
