Bucharest Stock Exchange closes Wednesday's trading session higher with trading of 67.64 million RON

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Wednesday's session higher, with trading of 67.64 million RON (13.32 million EUR) from 45.29 million RON (8.92 million EUR) the previous day.

The most liquid stocks were those of Transelectrica, with transactions of 19 million RON, followed by Banca Transilvania shares, with 6.80 million RON and Hidorelectrica, with 4.57 million RON.

The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, increased by 0.58pct, to 20,764.77 points, while BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the Exchange, closed higher by 0.56pct.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, recorded an advance of 0.62pct, while the SIF index, BET-FI, went up 0.43pct.

The BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, rose by 0.32pct, while the BET-NG, which measures the performance of ten energy and utility companies, recorded an increase by 0.97pct.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, recorded an increase of 0.59pct.

The best developments were recorded by Carbochim shares (+5.84pct), Casa de Bucovina-Club de Munte (+5.16pct) and Rompetrol Rafinare (+4.79pct).

On the other hand, the most significant decreases were recorded by the shares of Turism, Hoteluri, Restaurante Marea Neagra (-4.42pct), Turism Felix (-2.79pct) and Purcari Wineries (-2.54pct).
