The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Thursday's session higher, with turnover amounting to 15.08 million lei (2.86 million euros) in the first 30 minutes after the start of trading.
The benchmark BET index, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, was up 1.74%, while the BET-Plus index, which reflects the performance of the 43 most liquid shares listed on the BVB increased by 1.69%, agerpres reports.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip BET-XT index of the 25 most liquid stocks advanced 1.61%, while BET-BK, the benchmark for investment fund performance, increased by 1.22%.
The BET-FI index of SIFs posted an increase of 0.21%, while BET-NG, the index tracking the ten companies in the energy and utilities sector, increased by 2.17%.
Moreover, the BETAeRo index, covering 20 representative companies from the AeRO market saw an increase of 0.11%.
According to BVB data, the biggest share price increases were recorded by Romgaz (+5.32%), BRK Financial Group (+4.41%) and Cris-Tim Family Holding (+4.22%).
On the other hand, shares in Christian 76 Tour (-11.52%), Erste Group Bank (-1.70%) and Aquila Part Prod Com (-0.98%) were down.
