Bucharest stocks close in the red on Wednesday

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Wednesday's trading session with almost all indices in the red and RON 51.45 million (EUR 10.33 million) worth of trades.

The main BET index, which tracks the most liquid 20 companies, dropped 0.049 percent to 17,561.89 points, and the BET-Plus index which shows the evolution of the top liquid 43 shares lost 0.04 percent.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers closed 0.03 percent lower, while the return benchmark index for stock investment funds BET-BK dipped 0.01 percent.

The BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies gained 0.48 percent, while the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG picked up 0.09 percent.

The BET AeRO index of the 20 representative companies on the AeRO market scored an advance of 0.10 percent.

The most traded stocks on the Regulated Market were Banca Transilvania with RON 15.76 million worth of trading, followed by Hidroelectrica with RON 4.82 million, and BRD - Groupe Societe Generale with RON 4.20 million.

The best performing issuers were SSIF BRK Financial Group (+6.56 percent), Green Tech International (+3.01 percent), and SIF Hoteluri (+2.58 percent).

Conversely, the issuers on a significant downward trend were Sinteza (-6.25 percent), Aeta SA (-5.71 percent), and Vrancart (-4.50 percent).
