Central public authorities, specialist orgs to attend insolvency code conference

Officials of central public authorities, specialist organisations and lawyers are participating today in the 11th edition of the "Insolvency Code" conference.

The event is organised by Bursa Newspaper under a partnership with the National Institute for the Training of Insolvency Practitioners (INPPI) and the National Institute for the Training and Improvement of Lawyers (INPPA).

Among the subjects of discussion are systemic insolvency, realities and solutions for recovery, creditor composition and restructuring agreement, practical issues, solutions and managerial responsibility.

The conference will also discuss the particularities of insolvencies regarding companies in the residential sector, the Nordis case, the effects of insolvency in the international arbitration procedure on foreign investment, as well as troubled large companies and SMEs.

Also discussed will be the role of banks and state programmes (such as SME Invest) in bridge financing and recovery methods, the role of the Agency for Monitoring and Evaluation of the Performance of Public Enterprises (AMEPIP) in the insolvencies of state-owned companies.

The event will be attended by, among others, Simona Milos, chair of the National Institute for the Training of Practitioners in Insolvency; Nicolae Vlahu, chairman of the Senate's Committe on the Investigation of Abuses, Combatting Corruption and Petitions; Stan Tirnoveanu, first deputy chair of the National Union of Insolvency Practitioners in Romania (UNPIR); Daniel Ivascanu, lawyer with the Authority for State Assets Administration (AAAS);Cristi Tudor, partner at Musat&Asociatii; Alina Popa, head of legal at CITR.
