Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu declared on Saturday, in Arad, that our country has already been affected by the economic crisis in Europe, but will not go into recession, even if the main economic partner, Germany, is facing problems.
Present in a visit to Astra Vagoane Calatori Arad, the prime minister was asked by journalists to what extent the economic crisis in Europe will affect Romania, he affirmed that our country has already been affected, because Germany is the first trading partner, and this country is in recession, but Romania "will not enter".
"There is an economic crisis in Europe, there is already a recession in Germany, Hungary has already gone into recession, there are two other countries that will go into recession in the next period. Romania will not go into recession. We really have to continue the investments, we really have to we are making reforms to be sustainable and we really need to get involved in the reindustrialization of Romania and help the people who deserve it and who have proven that they can build," said Marcel Ciolacu, Agerpres informs.
When asked about the defense industry, in the context in which the European Commission recommends the member states to develop this sector, the prime minister answered: "We are currently working in Dambovita and in four shifts, this has never happened, there are two other factories where we are coordinating and you will see that there too...".
Ciolacu also mentioned that Romania will build "the biggest powder factory in Europe".
