A conference remembering the first Romanian Sorbonne University law graduate and the world's first female doctor of law Sarmiza Bilcescu Alimanisteanu takes place today at the headquarters of the Romanian Academy of Scientists (AOSR).
The event is organised under the "Valences of Femininity" programme.
The conference will be held by lawyer Adelina Brad, a member of the Bar of England and Wales, according to AOSR.
"As part of the 'Valences of Femininity' programme, lawyer Adelina Brad, member of the Bar of England and Wales, will hold the conference called 'Sarmiza Bilcescu Alimanisteanu - the first Romanian Sorbonne University law graduate and the first woman in the world with a doctorate in Law - A life seen through the memory of her followers.'"
Moderating the event will be AOSR Chairwoman Doina Banciu.
