A contract for the design and execution of the Joseni-Ditrau Lot of the Unirii Motorway has been published in the SEAP online public procurement system setting November 25, 2024 for a deadline, Transport Minister Sorin Grindeanu said on Monday, informs Agerpres.
"Construction on a new lot of the A8 (Unirii Motorway) is up for auction! The contract for the design and execution of the Joseni-Ditrau Lot was published in SEAP, and November 25, 2024 is the deadline for submitting bids. The total estimated value of this highway lot (located in Harghita County) is RON1.2 billion lei (excluding VAT), an amount provided under the transport programme PT," the minister wrote in social media post.
The winner of the contract will have 34 months for the construction of the 14.4 km of this lot (10 months for design and 24 months for execution).
According to the National Road Investment Corporation, the total estimated value of this motorway lot in Harghita County is between RON 1,021,864,803.87 and 1,202,607,034.59 lei, and the duration of construction is 34 months, including 10 months for the design and 24 months for execution. The warranty period is 60 months.
On the 14.4 km Joseni-Ditrau route, there are 21 crossings and viaducts, including three wildlife crossings allowing animals to cross safely) and a road junction at Joseni. There will also be a service facility that includes a commercial area, gas stations, 12 charging spaces for electric cars, and toilets.
