Danube Delta ITI Social Entrepreneurs project for labour force integration, combating poverty

The National Council of Small and Medium Private Enterprises in Romania (CNIPMMR) launched the Danube Delta ITI ((Integrated Territorial Investment) Social Entrepreneurs project, dedicated to the labour market integration of people from vulnerable groups and the fight against poverty by establishing social enterprises in the urban environment of the Danube Delta territory.

Implemented over the course of 28 months, between August 2024 and November 2026, the project is co-financed by the European Union, through the European Social Fund+, within the Education and Employment Programme 2021-2027, a press release from ANIPMMR sent, Thursday, to AGERPRES, reads.

The over 7.091 million RON budget (rd 1.42 M euros), of which 85% represents the contribution of the ESF+, ensures the training of 76 people living in the Danube Delta ITI microregion, who intend to establish social enterprises in the urban environment, as well as the financing of business plans for 20 social enterprises, within the de minimis aid scheme "Support for the establishment of social enterprises in the urban environment".

The target group is made up of the following categories: people looking for a job, young people aged 30-35, unemployed, long-term unemployed, people from disadvantaged groups on the labour market, inactive people.

Among the benefits brought to the participants of the project activities are the access to quality, free and accredited training programmes, the exchange of experience with social entrepreneurs who have obtained financing in similar projects, the mentoring provided by experienced entrepreneurs, the transparency in the granting of financing for the establishment of 20 social enterprises in urban localities from the Danube Delta ITI microregion.
