National Defense Minister Vasile Dincu emphasized at a meeting on Thursday with the members of the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" Military Reserve and Retired Diplomats Association (ADMRR) their "key" role in Romania's current cooperation with NATO, the National Defense Ministry said in a release.
"I can strongly affirm that today we see the result of an excellent diplomatic and military cooperation, we see allied countries willing to contribute to the reinforcement of the eastern flank of the Alliance by sending troops to Romania, and you had a key role in this context," Dincu said as cited in the release.
The Minister emphasized the importance of such public meetings and debates for raising awareness of institutional development efforts, of the changes and transformations undergone by the military over time, which contribute significantly to the creation of a coherent legislative framework in support of the active, reserve and retired military personnel, as well as of war veterans, Agerpres.ro informs.
Vasile Dincu assured the ADMRR members of his support and thanked them for their dedication in fulfilling their missions throughout their careers, in promoting the traditions of military diplomacy and furthering the interests of the nation and of the Romanian Army, in accordance with the motto "Homeland-Honor-Tradition."
