The Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) is on the first place in the preferences of the diaspora electorate for the Senate, with 143,632 votes (25.81%), after the centralisation of reports from 792 polling stations (83.37%) out of the 950, according to data published on Monday morning, in real-time, on the website of the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP).
Ranked second is the Save Romania Union (USR) with 118,255 votes (21.25%), while the SOS Romania Party ranks third, with 90,938 votes (16.34%).
For the Senate in the diaspora, according to AEP data, the following parties are ranked in order:
Party of Young People (POT) - 76,723 votes (13.79%)
National Liberal Party (PNL) - 40,988 votes (7.37%)
Health Education Nature Sustainability (SENS) - 21,153 votes (3.80%)
Social Democratic Party (PSD) - 17,751 votes (3.19%)
Justice and Respect Party in Europe for All Party (DREPT) - 12,939 votes (2.33%)
Renewing Romania's European Project Party (REPER) - 10,773 votes (1.94%)
Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR) - 8,933 votes (1.61%).
