Minister of Research, Innovation and Digitisation Bogdan Ivan on Monday, at the Romania-Saudi Arabia summit, highlighted Romania's position as a gateway to Europe and presented the potential of Romanian experts in IT and emerging technologies.
Bogdan Ivan participated on Monday in the Romania-Saudi Arabia meeting, hosted by Transportation Minister Sorin Grindeanu.
"We ensure the growth of Romania's economy with a partner open to new technologies! (...) In the discussions with the Saudi partners, we emphasised Romania's position as a gateway to Europe and presented the potential of Romanian experts in IT and emerging technologies," Bogdan Ivan wrote on Facebook.
According to him, Saudi Arabia invests heavily in digital solutions to streamline the activities of the administration, but also in developing strategies that support technological innovation and artificial intelligence.
"Congratulations to PSD [Social Democratic Party] Minister Sorin Grindeanu for signing the Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the field of logistics services, together with Saudi Minister of Transport Saleh Al Jasser, through which Romania is strengthening its position as a Gateway to Europe," the minister added.
