The 12th edition of the DIPLOMA Show Festival, a project by The Institute, will open on Friday at 7 p.m. at ARCUB - Hanul Gabroveni.

According to a press release from the organizers sent to AGERPRES, the festival highlights the newest generation of artists, architects, and designers from Romania.

This year's selection brings together 145 emerging artists from 17 creative disciplines, chosen from a record 630 submissions in the history of the event.

The DIPLOMA Show features a mix of exhibitions, guided tours, installations, an art & design fair, networking sessions, and experiences dedicated to the new generation of graduates.

"The DIPLOMA Show represents more than just an exceptional reservoir of talented young people for The Institute's community; it is more than a relevant resource for established professionals in the fields of art, architecture, and design. The festival functions as an open platform that can be used by projects and organizations in search of new creative voices - from art fairs and exhibition venues to biennials or fashion weeks. We thank all our partners, collaborators, and supporters who help facilitate the professional debut of remarkable young creators, seeking cultural and creative stages to strengthen their professional path," said Andrei Bortun, CEO of The Institute.

For the first time at the DIPLOMA Show, visitors will be able to join guided tours designed by curators Cristina Buta and Catrinel Radoi, offering a broader, more personalised experience aimed at introducing the public to the creative world of emerging artists.

Alongside the main exhibition, over the 10 days of the festival, a series of events will encourage dialogue and the exchange of ideas between the new generation of creators and the general public. The program includes meetings with exhibitors, the "Hot Lagoon" art and design fair (October 11-12 at Apollo 111, between 12 p.m. and 9 p.m.), social gatherings, parties with live DJ sets, and other contexts dedicated to creative communities.

Bucharest's Old Town will be transformed into a circuit of creative-cultural hotspots, where fragments of graduates' works will be showcased in five partner spaces. The public is invited to discover art step by step, exploring the historic center as an alternative museum.

Two mural works by Matei Pericleanu will be displayed at Carturesti Carusel, a work by designer Robert Roca will be exhibited at Galeria 15 Design; and with the support of the Romanian Hotel Industry Federation, three nearby hotels will host fashion design capsules by young creators Vlad Talmaciu, Steven Steven, and Flavius Stangaciu: Hilton Garden Inn Bucharest Old Town (12 Doamnei Street), Europa Royale Bucharest (60 Franceza Street), and Grand Hotel Continental (56 Calea Victoriei).

The circuit, open until October 12, transforms the historic center into an alternative museum, freely accessible to the public.

More information about the full program and public access is available on social media pages.
