Over 20 million euros in European funds are allocated for projects in Timis County, announced on Tuesday the Minister of Investments and European Projects, Dragos Pîslaru.

The statements were made during a visit to the Major Burns Center of the "Pius Brînzeu" County Emergency Clinical Hospital in Timisoara, where the minister was accompanied by President Nicusor Dan and the Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete.

"For Timis County, we have over 20 million euros for 13 ongoing projects, to which is added the project for polytrauma," Pîslaru specified.

The minister emphasized that European funds contribute significantly to the modernization of Romania and that this must be visible to citizens.

"This is something that every Romanian needs to see and feel. It is not enough for me to say that for every euro we contribute to the community budget, we receive three euros. It is important to win the minds and hearts of people, who see that they have a better standard of living, that they can be treated in better conditions, that there is a functional infrastructure," said Pîslaru.
