A weak earthquake, with a magnitude of 3.2 on the Richter scale, occurred on Friday, at 2:50 p.m., in Vrancea County, Vrancea seismic zone, according to information published by the National Institute for Research and Development for Earth Physics (INCDFP).
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 129 kilometers near the following cities: 45 km west of Focsani, 57 km north of Buzau, 69 km east of Sfantu-Gheorghe, 78 km east of Brasov and 89 km northeast of Ploiesti.
In April, three earthquakes occurred in Romania, with magnitudes ranging between 2.6 and 3.2.
The most important earthquake this year had a magnitude of 4.4 and occurred in Buzau County on February 13, while last year a 5.4 magnitude earthquake occurred, also in Buzau County, on September 16.
