More than 570 business-to-business (B2B) meetings took place between nearly 50 Moldovan producers and Romanian companies during the Economic Mission of Producers from the Republic of Moldova, held in Bucharest on 16 October 2025.

"The economic mission of Moldovan producers in Romania concluded successfully. Over 570 B2B meetings were held between almost 50 Moldovan producers and representatives of retail chains, distributors, importers and key players in the Romanian market," the Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry Republic of Moldova - Romania informed in a press release on Thursday.

The sectors represented included food and delicacies, wine, fresh fruit, furniture and interior design, packaging, hygiene solutions and industrial products.

According to the same source, the B2B event in Bucharest facilitated direct contact between Moldovan producers and Romanian companies interested in building long-term business partnerships.

"This mission once again confirms that Romania is the strategic gateway for Moldovan products into the European Union. We are pleased to have directly connected entrepreneurs and turned discussions into real collaboration opportunities," said Andrei Crigan, the Chamber's president.

The mission was organised by the Investment Agency of the Republic of Moldova, with support from the World Bank and in cooperation with trusted partners Gateway & Partners and the Moldova-Romania Bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Economic Mission is part of the Export Mission programme run by the Investment Agency of the Republic of Moldova. The agency organises B2B export promotion missions for Moldovan SMEs with international growth potential. These missions, held several times a year, offer companies the opportunity to establish new partnerships, access foreign markets and increase exports. The programme supports businesses looking to promote their products and expand internationally.

So far, the programme has supported over 220 companies, generating exports worth more than 5 million euros and organising five annual editions in eight countries.
