Four associations and four companies submitted bids on Monday for the contract for the construction of the last section of the Targu Neamt - Iasi - Ungheni Union Motorway, a contract that also includes the construction of a 5-km segment of motorway in the Republic of Moldova, the National Road Investment Company (CNIR) announced on Facebook.
The eight bidders are: Danlin XXL Association (leader) - Intertranscom Impex - Evropeiski-Patishta AD - Groma Hold; Far Foundation Association (leader) - Automagistral Pivden - Lincor Trans; Erbadu Construction Association (leader) - Frasinul - Consent - EKY - SAM - Dimex 2000 Company; Aktor (sole bidder); Itinera SPA Association (leader) - Sapiem SPA - ICM SPA; Cengiz Insaat Sanayi Ve Ticaret (sole bidder); Concelex (sole bidder); FCC Construcction (sole bidder).
Section 4, between National Road DN 24 (Iasi) and the Prut Bridge at Ungheni, on the border with the Republic of Moldova, is 15.5 kilometers long and has an estimated cost of 4.7 billion lei, with financing provided by the Security Action for Europe - SAFE Program.
"It is a contract with European financing through the SAFE Program, and the novelty is the 5-km motorway segment in the Republic of Moldova that Romania will build. Basically, we are taking the Union Motorway beyond the Prut. Also within this contract, CNIR will award additional points to the builder who undertakes to complete the 2.77-km motorway segment between the Golaiesti junction and the Prut Bridge at Ungheni within 18 months," said CNIR General Director Gabriel Budescu.
The duration of the contract is 46 months, of which 10 months for the design phase and 36 months for the execution of the works. On the route, the following will be built: 14 bridges an
ssages; two tunnels (the tunnel at km 83 has a length of 1,760 meters); two road junctions (a future road junction - a road connecting the Regional Hospital and Iasi Airport, and the Golaiesti junction).
