Integrated natural-gas, electricity and energy-solutions provider E.ON Energie Romania directed more than RON 9.1 billion (EUR 1.82 billion) to suppliers and paid over RON 1.1 billion (about EUR 218 million) to the state budget in 2025, according to the company's Sustainability Report released Friday.
Company representatives note that in the same period E.ON installed over 4,000 photovoltaic systems for residential customers, reaching 8,900 by the end of last year. The number of systems equipped with storage batteries also increased, reflecting rising interest in integrated self-consumption solutions. In the first six months of 2026, 93% of residential PV systems installed by the company included storage batteries.
To date, E.ON has installed more than 10,500 residential PV systems, plus over 430 photovoltaic plants for companies (401 at end-2025), with a combined installed capacity of 89 MWp.
To give companies access to predictable-price "green" energy, E.ON aims to expand its portfolio of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). In this context, a photovoltaic plant was built last year for Webasto's factory in Arad.
The company's electric-vehicle charging network reached 600 points in 2025 and now exceeds 700.
Last year E.ON worked with 1,083 suppliers, 93% of them Romanian companies. Total payments to suppliers surpassed RON 9.15 billion (EUR 1.83 billion), most of it going to firms in Romania.
E.ON supplied 18.7 TWh of natural gas (around 19% of national consumption) and 3.2 TWh of electricity (about 7% of Romania's consumption).
The company contributed almost RON 1.1 billion to the state budget in 2025, up roughly 3% from the previous year.
The GraduatE.ON programme, aimed at developing young Romanian talent, ranked second nationally among internship and management-trainee initiatives in 2025. Over 20 years, it has provided development opportunities to 180 university graduates, many of whom built long-term careers within the company.
In 2025, average professional training reached 22 hours per employee, with total training hours up 40% year-on-year.
The Sustainability Report covers 1 January - 31 December 2025 and is E.ON Energie Romania's first standalone report prepared under EU Delegated Regulation 2023/2772.
