Ada Vertan, co-producer of the film 'Cine nu e gata'/Wonder Coach, directed by Florin Anghel, presented at the 22nd SIMFEST International Film and Television Festival in Targu Mures, says the movie is an invitation to reflect and live life on your own terms, not as others expect.

"Funding was somewhat unusual, coming from cryptocurrency investors. We had previously made a short film called 'Strigoii' and raised money through campaigns that won many international awards, but the funds weren't enough for this feature. We then ran another crypto fundraising at Cinema Union, which covered almost three-quarters of the budget. Filming took the usual 25 days. We went slightly over budget, and now the film is submitted to festivals. It was only recently released in cinemas this summer. ‘Cine nu e gata' is an invitation to reflect, to arrange your life the way you want, not the way others want — that's the theme," Vertan said at SIMFEST in Targu Mures.

The film, described as a romantic comedy, is produced by A.A. Florian (Anghel Aron Florian, aka Florin Anghel, the director), Paul Arion, Ada Vertan, and Francesco D'Ambrosio, and was screened at the Mihai Eminescu Cultural Center in Targu Mures.

"It portrays a sad reality of the present: workplace burnout and the need for change. Based on the bestseller of the same name by Iulia Nani, who also co-wrote the screenplay, the story follows Victoria, a young woman fed up with corporate life, rigid management, and indifferent colleagues, yet unable to implement her ideas. She goes through a series of transformations and lessons, offering the audience reflections to take away," said Corina Ceausescu, SIMFEST organizer, in an interview with AGERPRES.

The cast includes Ioana Budu, Loredana Groza, Daniela Nane, Oana Marcu, Oltin Hurezeanu, Dani Ionescu, Ada Navrot, Florin Galan, Andreea Chiritescu, Marcela Motoc, Paul Diaconescu, Mihai Marinescu, and Raluca Tita.
