The Finance Ministry (MF) on Friday attracted 60 million lei from banks, in addition to Thursday's auction, when it borrowed 458.7 million lei through a benchmark government bond issue with a residual maturity of 110 months, at an average yield of 6.72% per annum.
The nominal value of the additional issue amounted to 60 million lei, and banks submitted bids amounting to 185 million lei.
The Finance Ministry (MF) has planned to borrow 5 billion lei from commercial banks in September 2024, to which an amount of 675 million lei can be added through additional non-competitive bidding sessions related to the bond auctions.
The total amount of 5.675 billion lei is 25 million lei less than the 5.7 billion lei programmed in August 2024 and will be used to refinance public debt and finance the state budget deficit.
