First time in Romanian history when we have balance between expenses and investments (PM Ciolacu)

Prime minister Marcel Ciolacu declared on Monday that, for the first time in the history of Romania, a balance has been created between spending and investment, and, at this moment, our country has a deficit of 56 billion RON and spending on investments of 57 billion RON.

On Monday, the head of the Executive, together with the deputy prime minister Marian Neacsu and the minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Sorin Grindeanu, made a working visit to the Sibiu - Pitesti motorway, Section 4 (Tigveni - Curtea de Arges).

According to Ciolacu, funds allocated to Transport are the most important, considering, among other things, that such works also have the greatest strategic importance.

"(...) these three sections from Pitesti to Sibiu which are still under construction have been bypassed by all ministers of Transport for 30 or so years. He is the first minister to close from Nadlac to Constanta. And we will close, as well, from Moldavia to Constanta. It is the first time that we have a plan and this plan is taking shape. If we are lucky to have builders as good as we have here, I am convinced that things will fall into place - into an even greater dynamic," the PM said.

Marcel Ciolacu added that many programs are still blocked, but there is hope of a 95% absorption of the funds from the last financial year.
