The PSD will have working groups on specific areas that will communicate and collaborate with the unions permanently, during the consultations for the formation of a new Government, announced on Monday the party's spokesperson, Florin Manole.
"We had a meeting with several trade union organizations from fields such as education, public administration, public order, defense, industry, that is, from a very wide area of employee representation. We decided to organize this meeting because we saw in the public space and we all saw, obviously, that at Cotroceni the discussions are only held with one of the parties that make up the spectrum of social partners, namely with the employers' associations.
We consider it extremely important that, when we talk about measures, when we talk about projects and public policies, we also have the consultation of the social partners from the trade unions, because, ultimately, they represent most of the Romanian citizens, those who work, those who pay taxes and duties and those who produce welfare in this country", declared Manole, in a conference press office, at the PSD headquarters.
He added that two extremely important conclusions emerged from these discussions.
"The first conclusion is that, throughout all the discussions at Cotroceni, no matter how many days or if they last several weeks, these discussions will take place. In parallel, we will communicate with the unions, with the social partners, and we will organize working groups, so that on each of the topics, on each of the public policies, there is a consultation with the targeted employees, with the employees in the respective field and with those who, ultimately, know best about the respective field," the PSD spokesperson mentioned.
According to him, at the same time, PSD will propose to all other parties that, to the extent that consensus is reached and a governing coalition is formed, it should have an agreement with both the unions and the employers' associations.
