The Federal Minister of Defence of Germany, Boris Pistorius, will visit, on Tuesday, the 57th Air Base "Captain Aviator Constantin Cantacuzino" in Mihail Kogalniceanu, Constanta County, where he will meet with Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan.
The meeting will also be attended by the Secretary of State for Defence Policy, Planning and International Relations within the Ministry of Defence, Sorin Dan Moldovan.
Joint press statements by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan and the German Minister of Defence are scheduled after the meeting, the Government Press Office informs.
According to the Ministry of Defence, the discussions at the Kogalniceanu Base will focus bilateral cooperation in the defence field, joint projects and regional security developments.
Minister Pistorius' visit highlights Germany's constant commitment to Romania's security and to strengthening cooperation within NATO, the Ministry of Defence informs.
