The Government approved, on Wednesday, the National Strategy for the medium- and long-term safe management of used nuclear fuel and radioactive waste, thus aligning itself to Directive 2011/70/EURATOM of the Council of Europe, announced the Government's spokersperson, Dan Carbunaru.
He mentioned, in a press conference, at the Victoria Palace, that the Directive provides for the building of a community framework for the responsible and safe management of used nuclear fuel and radioactive waste.
