Several hundred students protested on Monday in front of the Cluj Prefecture against the austerity measures adopted by the Government this summer in the field of education.
"The protests have been the same for six months now. We are protesting against Law 141, which comes with measures against both pupils, teachers and students. We are waiting to be heard and somehow return to normal, to be able to carry out our activities as students," the president of the UBB Student Organization (OSUBB), Albert Conachi, told AGERPRES.
The protesting students carried banners with their demands and dissatisfactions and chanted, among others, "We will not give in" and "Students, shout, you deserve scholarships", "Cut from theft, not from student life".
