The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest hosted on Monday a high-level meeting with Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) ambassadors - Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam - to discuss strengthening diplomatic ties and promoting co-operation in the areas of computer science, technology and innovation between Romania and the ASEAN region.
"We are honoured to welcome the esteemed ambassadors from Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam to ICI Bucharest. This meeting is an important step in our efforts to promote international collaboration and to promote technological progress through dialogue and partnership," said ICI Bucharest Director General Adrian-Victor Vevera.
The ambassadors' presentations focused on the latest advances in computer science and areas for collaborative research and development, highlighting common interests and co-operation potentials.
Speeches were delivered by Malay ambassador Tengku Dato' Sirajuzzaman Bin Tengku Mohamed Ariffin; Indonesian ambassador Meidyatama Suryodiningrat; Thai ambassador Dao Vibulpanich, and Vietnamese ambassador Do Duc Thanh.
