The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the European Union member states convene in Bucharest, January 31 - February 1, in an informal meeting (Gymnich), in the context of Romania's exercising the presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) informs in a press release sent to AGERPRES on Monday.
According to the release, the meeting is hosted by Foreign Minister Teodor Melescanu and will be chaired by the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-President of the European Commission, Federica Mogherini.
The agenda of the meeting will include two working sessions where ministers will discuss topical themes on the European and international agenda.

The meeting also includes a working session with the foreign affairs ministers from candidate countries to join the EU.
Traditionally, David McAllister, Chair of the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee (AFET), is invited to attend the event, says the cited source.
