Authorities sent a series of suggestions on Monday regarding data protection on mobile devices.
''It is essential to be pay attention to the security of your data in the digital environment'' - reads the message posted on the Facebook account of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI).
Thus, the authorities recommend:
* always keep the software on your device updated (and apps)
* avoid operating with sensitive data on free, public Wi-Fi networks; use a VPN solution in this case
* activate a PIN code, a complex password or biometric security to use the device
* use the device's remote location and lock function
* install apps only from official stores and avoid piracy
* be cautious when receiving links and attachments on your phone; scan them with an antivirus before accessing them.
"It is essential to be proactive to prevent potential threats targeting mobile devices," reports MAI.
