Acting Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan declared on Wednesday that it is the PSD's responsibility to come up with a solution to the crisis created by the adoption of the motion of censure.
He mentioned, on Antena 1, that if the PSD does not have a solution, it must "at least admit" this.
"The PNL made a decision yesterday and it is the PSD's responsibility to come up with a proposal for the crisis it has created. If they are not able to come up with a solution, they must at least admit this. It is a matter of common sense to do this. In this situation, we have a responsibility in governing and we must see what the solutions will be, in order to move forward. Because Romania cannot remain without a functional government", said the prime minister.
According to him, by overthrowing a government proposed by the PSD, supported by the AUR, a new parliamentary majority was practically created de facto.
"Those who did this, mainly the PSD, knew. I notified them: 'Be careful, this is a complicated situation!' They probably relied on the fact that from within the PNL, following some models they have tried before, they would find some formulas in which you would have comfortable prime ministers, who sign, who do not bother and who allow others to screw around inside the government", added the interim prime minister.
He reproached the PSD for the fact that, in the context of multiple crises, instead of strengthening the Government, they "demolished" it. Bolojan stressed that the departure of a person or a Cabinet "does not solve the problems", because Romania needs a government that can attract several billion euros from European funds by the end of August.
Bolojan also stated that the repeated announcements about the change of prime minister, over the past three months, have reduced the efficiency of employees in the state apparatus.
"The total responsibility for this crisis lies with the PSD and the people who lead this party. (...) Mr. Grindeanu must have the responsibility and the decency - if they have demolished a government - to come and say: 'This is our solution'. Let him assume this. And they have two possibilities. To come up with a solution, if they have demolished. Very good if they have a solution. We need governments that maintain balances, to work. If they don't have a solution, then at least they should have the decency to say: 'We don't have a solution. We'll leave it to others'. But think about the fact that they formed a coalition with AUR in Parliament. That's not a problem either. So, AUR and PSD have proven that if they had a majority to demolish a government, it means that they have a majority to be able to form a government," he said.
