An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 on the Richter scale occurred on Friday morning, at 1:47 local time, in the seismic zone of Vrancea, eastern Vrancea county, according to the National Research and Development Institute for Earth Physics (INCDFP).
The earthquake was recorded at 88 km in-depth, near the following cities: 83 km east of Brasov, 94 km south of Bacau, 101 km northeast of Ploiesti, 112 km west of Galati, 115 km northwest of Braila and 151 km north of Bucharest.
Since the beginning of December, 13 earthquakes have occurred in Romania, with magnitudes between 2 and 4.1 on the Richter scale.
The highest value of an earthquake this year occurred on November 3, 2022 and had a magnitude of 5.4, while last year an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 on the Richter scale was recorded on May 26.AGERPRES
