The Ministry of Culture announced on Thursday that it will provide details regarding the finding of the Cotofenesti helmet after the statements to be made by the Dutch authorities and urges patience and responsibility.

"In the context of the press conference announced for today at 2:00 p.m. (Dutch time) by the Dutch Prosecutor's Office regarding the evolution of the efforts to recover the Cotofenesti Helmet and the Dacian bracelets, the Ministry of Culture appeals for patience and responsibility. These situations involve strict procedures and stages that must be followed with due attention to allow for the official confirmation of all data. Public communication at such times is done in a coordinated manner, based on information verified by the competent authorities," a statement from the Ministry of Culture states.

According to the cited source, there is active collaboration between institutions in Romania and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, both at the level of police structures and competent ministries, as well as between institutions with responsibilities in the field of cultural heritage.

"Therefore, we ask the public and media representatives to give the necessary time to clarify all the details and to wait for official communications. We remind you that, today, at 2:00 p.m. (Dutch time), a conference will be held during which the information confirmed so far will be presented, and representatives of the Romanian Government will also provide the necessary clarifications. (...) We thank the Dutch authorities for their professionalism and involvement, and, out of respect for the entire collaboration, we will make statements following the press conference," the ministry said.
