The Ministry of Finance raised 75 million lei from banks on Tuesday, in addition to the auction held on Monday, where it borrowed 710.3 million lei through a benchmark government bond issue with a residual maturity of 53 months, at an average yield of 7.17% per year.
The nominal value of the additional issue was 75 million lei, and banks submitted bids worth 135 million lei.
The Ministry of Finance (MF) has planned to borrow 5 billion lei from commercial banks in December 2024, with an additional 600 million lei potentially raised through supplementary non-competitive offers related to bond auctions.
The total amount of 5.6 billion lei is 895 million lei lower than the 6.495 billion lei planned for November 2024 and will be used for the refinancing of public debt and financing the state budget deficit.
