The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened amongst mixed developments on Friday, with a trading turnover of 17.56 million lei (approximately 3.49 million euros) recorded after the first 45 minutes of trading.
The main index BET, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, was down 0.52%, while the BET-Plus index, tracking the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, also fell by 0.52%.
The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, comprising the top 25 most liquid stocks, dropped 0.33%, and the BET-BK index, a benchmark for investment funds, declined by 0.09%.
The BET-FI index, which tracks financial investment companies (SIFs), was up 0.25%, while BET-NG, which includes the 10 largest companies in the energy and utilities sector, increased by 0.45% within the same timeframe.
The BETAeRO index, which represents 20 key companies on the AeRO market (the BVB's alternative trading system), registered a decline of 0.64%.
ccording to BVB data, the biggest stock price gains were seen in: Condmag: +15%, Armatura: +11.72%, Prefab: +6.21%.
On the downside, the stocks with the most significant losses were: Sinteza: -4.41%, Banca Transilvania: -4.27%, Romcarbon: -3.61%.
