New orders in the processing industry increased, in nominal terms, between January 1 and October 31, 2022, compared to the same period last year, by 19.9%, according to the data published on Wednesday by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).
The evolution was determined by the increases recorded in the industry of durable goods (+23.3%), the industry of intermediate goods (+22.2%), the industry of current use goods and in the industry of capital goods (+18.4%).
According to the INS, new orders in the processing industry, in October 2022, compared to the previous month, increased in nominal terms, overall, by 2.4%, due to the increases recorded in the durable goods industry (+10.5%) and in the capital goods industry (+5.1%). Decreases were recorded in the industry of current use goods (-3.9%) and the industry of intermediate goods (-2%).
Also, new orders in the processing industry, in October 2022, compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, increased in nominal terms, overall, by 23.8%, due to the increases recorded in the durable goods industry (+41, 3%), the capital goods industry (+29.8%), the consumer goods industry (+16.9%) and in the intermediate goods industry (+13.3%).AGERPRES
