A new tourist trail which showcases Brasov County's mud volcanoes area and which can be viewed on Google Maps was inaugurated on October 12 by the Carpaterra Association, administrator of the namesake geopark.
The trail was fitted with info panels, 3D elements and details about flora, fauna and local heritage, Carpaterra Association said.
"The mud volcanoes at Baile Homorod have gained visibility again, despite the light and endless autumn rain," the association's representatives wrote.
The route was created by the Carpaterra Association in partnership with the Homorod City Hall, the 'Maple Tree' Association and the Homorod Middle School.
Brasov County's mud volcanoes are located within the boundaries of Homorod commune and are a protected area of national interest that is part of the Carpaterra Geopark.
