President Nicusor Dan held a round of bilateral consultations with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday, during which the two heads of state agreed to take concrete steps to implement the new Strategic Partnership between Romania and Ukraine, with an emphasis on trade relations, cross-border cooperation, energy security, innovation in defense and education.

"President Volodymyr Zelensky was the special guest of the B9 Summit at Cotroceni Palace. On this occasion, we also had excellent bilateral consultations, continuing the dialogue started two months ago, during President Zelensky's official visit to Romania. We are determined to take concrete steps to implement our new Strategic Partnership, with an emphasis on strengthening trade relations, cross-border cooperation, energy security, innovation in defense and education," Nicusor Dan wrote in a Facebook post.

He emphasized that Ukraine has made decisive progress in becoming a security provider, capitalizing on the experience gained in using new technologies on the battlefield, especially in the field of drones and anti-drone systems.

"We want our industry to benefit from Ukrainian expertise in the development and production of new defense technologies. Romania will continue to be a firm supporter of Ukraine's European path," Nicusor Dan also said.
