President Nicusor Dan had a meeting in Brussels on Friday with King Philippe of Belgium, whom he thanked for the Belgian contribution to the NATO Battle Group at Cincu, ''a gesture of solidarity that Romanians appreciate''.
''An honor and a joy to meet today, in Brussels, with His Majesty King Philippe. We had a very good discussion together, because the common vision of developing relations between Romania and Belgium brings us closer. I thanked His Majesty for the Belgian contribution to the NATO Battle Group at Cincu, a gesture of solidarity that Romanians appreciate'', Nicusor Dan wrote on Facebook.
President Nicusor Dan was received, on Friday, at the Royal Castle of Laeken, by His Majesty Philippe, King of the Belgians.
The Romanian head of state is paying a two-day visit to Brussels.
Nicusor Dan had a meeting on Thursday, at the headquarters of the North Atlantic Alliance, with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, and in the afternoon he participated in the European Council meeting.
