PSD President Sorin Grindeanu said on Monday that he did not collaborate "beyond the institutional framework" with the head of state, Nicusor Dan, but that he, unlike interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, understood "to be balanced" during this period.

"PSD and I have not had any kind of collaboration with Nicusor Dan, and I, personally, throughout history, if you like, have been opponents. Apart from the second round, last year, when I voted for him, almost all my colleagues suspect that they did this, in the final with Simion. But from here to saying that there are collaborations of this kind, beyond the institutional framework, is a big, big stupidity. Instead, what I can tell you is that Nicusor Dan, unlike Ilie Bolojan, understood to be balanced during this period. Ilie Bolojan did not understand that he is prime minister with PSD votes," Grindeanu told DIGI 24.

He emphasized that to be prime minister of a coalition, "you must be willing to dialogue."

"If he were to be elected prime minister with the votes of the PNL, of which he is the president, he would have 15% of the Parliament. No more. The PNL came in 3rd place in the elections. Understandably, we forget things, but the Romanians gave the PSD first place. To be the prime minister of a coalition, you have to be characterized by something else, besides being stubborn. Namely, to be willing to dialogue. That you didn't win the elections, but you even came in 3rd place and you are the prime minister of a coalition formed by four parties plus the minority group. This year, Ilie Bolojan didn't understand this and went on behaving as if the PNL had won the elections alone", said Sorin Grindeanu. AGERPRES
