OMV Petrom will begin, on June 3, the payment of dividends for the 2024 financial year to its shareholders registered in the Shareholders' Register kept by the Central Depository on the registration date of May 13, 2025, the company announced on Monday.
"In accordance with the Decision of the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of OMV Petrom of April 24, 2025, OMV Petrom announces the payment of dividends for the 2024 financial year through the Central Depository and BRD - Groupe Societe Generale - the selected paying agent - starting with June 3, 2025, to its shareholders registered in the Shareholders' Register kept by the Central Depository on the registration date of May 13, 2025. The gross dividend is 0.0444 lei per share, and where applicable, the related dividend tax will be withheld at source at the rates provided by law," a release sent to the Bucharest Stock Exchange reads.
OMV Petrom shareholders approved, on April 24, during the Ordinary and Extraordinary General Meetings, the distribution of record dividends, in the amount of 2.8 billion lei for the financial year 2024.
Thus, the General Meeting approved the distribution of a basic dividend for the financial year 2024 in a gross amount of 0.0444 lei/share, resulting in a share yield of 6.3%. According to the company, the gross value of the basic dividend is 7.5% higher than the previous year.
The total value of dividends for 2024 amounts to 2.8 billion lei, representing 66% of the net profit and 43% of the cash flow from operational activities of the OMV Petrom Group in 2024. Of this amount, approximately 1.2 billion lei will go to Romanian shareholders, who held over 44% of the company's shares as of December 31, 2024. Over 570 million lei will be distributed to the Romanian state, which holds, through the Ministry of Energy, 20.7% of the OMV Petrom shares.
