More than 7,000 people attended the 2025 edition of the Hungarian Film Days, which took place in 16 towns in Transylvania, over October 1-5.

"Approximately 7,000 filmgoers participated in the Hungarian Film Days/Filmtettfeszt 2025, a festival held in Cluj and 16 other towns in Transylvania between October 1 and 5, organised by the Cluj-Napoca Filmtett association. Of the 59 points in the Cluj festival programme, 31 were film screenings, and the most watched feature films were "Silent Friend", directed by Ildiko Enyedi, "All the Stars", directed by Renato Olasz, and "Jimmy Jaguar", directed by Benedek Fliegauf," the organizers said in a press release on Wednesday.

According to the same source, the production "All Stars"/"Minden Csillag" had several artists known to the Cluj audience both in the film crew and among the protagonists, including the actors of the Cluj Hungarian State Theatre Lorand Farkas, Emoke Pal and Zsolt Gedo.

"Cluj filmgoers were able to see new feature films, documentaries, classic Hungarian films, animated films for children, but also short films - both Hungarian films and creations of Transylvanian directors. Those interested also watched the Transylvanian documentaries participating in the Filmgalopp competition within the festival," the mentioned source also shows.

During the Hungarian Film Days 2025, Transylvanian viewers were able to participate in 120 screenings and 36 related events, including two conferences, two round tables, an exhibition, two workshops for children and two concerts.

The winner of the Filmgalopp competition - addressed to documentaries made by young Transylvanian filmmakers - was "De la mine sa aflati. Sase portrete de romi din regiunea Cristuru Secuiesc"/"Here it from me. Six portraits of Roma from the Szekler Cristuru region", directed by Miska Lakatos.
