Parliamentary election 2024/AEP: Voter turnout stands at 2,214,111 people until 11.00 am

The voter turnout in Romania was 2,214,111 until 11.00 am, in the parliamentary election held on Sunday, representing 12.29% of those registered on the electoral lists, according to data provided in real time by the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP).

As many as 9,294 voters voted by using a mobile ballot box.

Of the 2,214,111 voters who voted by 11.00 am, 208,532 voted abroad - 204,189 on additional lists and 4,227 by mail. Voting in the diaspora began on Saturday, at 7.00 am.

Among the counties with the highest voter turnout are: Olt - 14.82%, Teleorman - 13.83%, Mehedinti - 13.82%.

The counties with the lowest voter turnout are: Vaslui - 7.96%, Sibiu - 8.54%, Bistrita-Nasaud - 8.63%.
