As many as 278,087 Bucharesters (15.56% of the total entered on the electoral rolls) had voted by 13:00 hrs in the referendum called by General Mayor Nicusor Dan on the city's coffers and development, shows real-time data provided by the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP).
According to the AEP, 272,523 voters had cast their ballot on the permanent rolls, 5,264 on additional lists, and 300 used the mobile ballot box.
The referendum turnout by sectors is as follows:
Sector 1 - 35,525 voters, accounting for 16.93% of the total;
Sector 2 - 48,077 voters, accounting for 16.37%;
Sector 3 - 59,297 voters, accounting for 13.28%;
Sector 4 - 43,974 voters, accounting for 16.20%;
Sector 5 - 36,186 voters, accounting for 15.08%;
Sector 6 - 55,028 voters, accounting for 16.89%.
As many as 1,786,929 voters are registered on the permanent rolls in Bucharest.
A turnout of 30% of the total number of registered voters is required for the referendum to be declared valid.
