PM Ciolacu on firefighters injured in Crevedia: There are 13 more hospitalized, none in danger

Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu said on Wednesday that 13 firefighters injured in the Crevedia explosion are currently hospitalised, adding that in a week's time 90% of them will be at home, told Agerpres.

"I have talked with the prime minister and there are six more hospitalised in Romania, seven abroad, the vast majority discharged. None are in danger at the moment and in a week's time, 10 days, I think 90% will be at home, with their family," the prime minister told journalists.

On Wednesday, September 13, Romanian Firefighters Day, President Klaus Iohannis signed decrees decorating firefighters injured in the explosions that took place in Crevedia.

According to the Presidential Administration, Iohannis awarded medals as a token "appreciation for the courage, devotion and spirit of sacrifice displayed on August 26, 2023 in the town of Crevedia, being injured during firefighting operations, evacuation of the population, search-rescue and evacuation of victims."
