PM Ciolacu: Romania remains a safe country and stable supplier of stability in region
Prime minister Marcel Ciolacu emphasized on Tuesday, during a meeting with representatives of 22 important companies in the field of space engineering and defense from the United States of America, Romania's interest in increasing the level of investments in the defense, IT, space engineering and energy sectors, in the context of the security crisis affecting Europe and the Middle East.
"Romania is and will remain a safe country and a provider of stability in the region, and in this sense the support of the United States, in the context of our strategic partnership, is decisive. The mission of the 22 top American companies shows how strong our collaboration is and the increased interest of US investors to transfer expertise and state-of-the-art technologies to Romania," said Ciolacu, quoted in the government's press release.
At the same time, he emphasized that Romania is energy independent, managing to offer the help it needs to the Republic of Moldova.
In turn, the US ambassador in Bucharest, Kathleen Ann Kavalec, and the American investors appreciated the pro-business approach of the Romanian government and thanked the prime minister for openness and collaboration. They also appreciated the consistent and multidimensional support provided by Romania to Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova throughout this period.
In this context, the prime minister mentioned that Romania will continue to stay with Ukraine until the war is won, but also to support the reconstruction of this country, as well as the Republic of Moldova, a state that will continue to receive the support of our country.
